Upon one of my eclectic trips to Montreal, I have stubbled upon a cute little art gallery in Old Montreal: Gallerie Yves Laroche. I roamed around the room slowly, admiring all the oeuvres d’art, studying them in details.
One artist caught my attention in particular: Mark Ryden. I was drawn by his unique/daring style of surrealist images picturing social subject matter loaded with cultural connotations.
Ryden’s Shopia’s Mercurial Water was beyond captivating.
I fell in love with the theme, colours, and heart shaped framing. I now have the luxury to look at it everytime I enter my studio.
I invite you to discover this fascinating artist and his work: www.markryden.com
