Super Spots

Yesterday evening was the biggest TV night of the year - the Super Bowl (congrats Green Bay Packers!). With about 100 million North Americans watching the game, it's a great opportunity for companies to promote their products. And at 2.6 million dollars for a 30-second spot, you better make sure it's a good one!

Having work many years in ad agencies, my interest for the ads is much greater than the game. According to the USA Today poll, which gauged 282 volunteers' live reactions during the game, the big winner was the Doritos Pug. I thought it was good, but not great. It puts a smile on my face though :)

I actually didn't think they were any great ads this year. But the cutest one has to be the VW mini-Darth Vader - may the force be with you!

Anyone had the chance to see the game, or the ads?

Postscript: going through the ads, I think my favorite is the Bridgestone Reply All ad - I think everyone faces that situation at one point at work!
